Duties and Responsibilities

The Eye Clinic Administrator oversees the daily operations of the clinic, ensuring efficient workflows, regulatory compliance, and high-quality patient care. This role combines administrative leadership, financial management, and staff coordination to support Ophthalmologists, Optometrists, and Clinical teams in delivering exceptional eye care services.

Manage daily clinic operations;
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with relevant regulations;
Provide excellent customer service to patients and staff;
Recruitment of clinic staff;
Supervising, providing guidance and coordinating trainings for clinic staff in order to ensure adherence to protocols and standards;
Process patients payments, manage accounts, and prepare financial reports;
Coordinate referrals to other healthcare professionals;
Participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences related to Optometry field;
A Master’s degree would be an added advantage;
Two (2) years experience in administration, preferably in ophthalmology/optometry.

Required Skills and Attributes

Proficiency in EHR systems and Microsoft Office Suite;
Strong knowledge of ophthalmic terminology, procedures, and equipment;
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills;
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment.
