Job Title : Accounts Clerk
Department : Finance and Treasury
Reports To : Accountant
Job Grade : C1
Job Purpose
To provide efficient and accurate accounting and financial administrative support to the Agricultural
Marketing Authority by processing financial transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, supporting
account reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with approved financial procedures, policies, and statutory
requirements at Head Office
Duties and Responsibilities
Key Duties and Responsibilities
·Preparation of invoices and receipts for clients
·Capturing transactions into the accounting system
·Online system approval of licenses
·Preparation of bank reconciliation statements, cashbook, and petty cash management
· Processing of payments and statutory obligations
·Preparation of financial statements
·Filing of all accounting records
·Preparation of budgets and cash flow forecasts
·Inventory checks, stock taking, and overall stock control
Qualifications and Experience
We seek to recruit a candidate with the following credentials: -
· Degree/Higher Diploma in Accounting or related field
· 5 “O” levels including Mathematics and English
· At least 3 years of relevant accounting experience
· Knowledge of International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS) or International Financial
Reporting Standards (IFRS), as applicable.
· Class 4 driver
s license.
· Working knowledge of the agricultural sector is a prerequisite.
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
· Result-oriented, innovative, analytical, and an excellent team player.
