Reporting to the Project Coordinator, the District TB Field Officer will be responsible for supporting District Health Teams to deliver a health facility and community-based SUPPORT TB intervention package. He or she will work closely with community health workers (CHWs) within the catchment area of the health facilities. The District Field Officer must be able to ride a motorbike. S/he will be required to travel extensively between the district’s health facilities and community groups.

• Provide technical assistance and capacity-building support to district health teams and CHWs
• Support and complement CHWs to conduct community TB screening, contact investigation including TPT initiation and follow up, and treatment adherence support.
• Follow up and ensure timely submission of monthly reports by CHWs
• Conduct data quality assessments of data reported in the monthly health facility TB reports in collaboration with the District TB and Leprosy Coordinators and Community Health Nurses
• Together with the District health staff, conduct weekly and monthly TB data analysis meetings and compile narrative reports using templates to be provided by the project in liaison with the Ministry of Health and Child Care
• Actively participate in the planning and implementation of TB performance reviews and data driven support and supervision visits and ensure compilation of activity reports
• Identify and support health facilities with data quality issues and underperforming indicators in liaison with the district management teams
• Conduct field visits to health facilities and communities
• Facilitate training and mentorship programs within the district facilities and communities
• Monitor and report on program progress
• Collaborate with other stakeholders to enhance TB program impact
• Diploma/Degree in Health Education and Promotion, Nursing, Public Health, Environmental health, or related field
• Motorbike riding experience with a class 3 driver`s license is a requirement
• At least 3 years of experience in TB programming or community health
• Demonstratable knowledge of TB detection, treatment, and prevention strategies
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to travel frequently to field locations
